Diamond Authentication

At Gold2u we take Diamond Authentication seriously and are aligning ourselves with similar controls to the GIA when it comes to Authentication and evaluation, and providing as much information on Carat weight, Cut, Clarity, and Colour. 

First of all we use the GIA id100 Diamond tester, one on the most sophisticated devices on the market, this ensures that here at Gold2u, we do not buy lab created, heat treated or any other synthetic diamond.

Carat Weight is estimated by using high resolution images, against a 5mm x 5mm grid and then planar calibration using our own proprietary tools and A.I. Photographed with 5500k Led Lighting and a high resolution camera. In Addition to this we use a presidium diamond gauge and vernier gauges to measure the stone.

We then use industry standard calculations to determine the cut quality, all of these calculations have been within 0.03% of stated GIA/IGI/AGL Certifications.

Colour is an estimation, not as precise as the GIA standard, but the range estimation also falls within the GIA/IGI/AGL Certifications.

Clarity is also calculated using our own proprietary software and is within industry accepted tolerance, when compared to certified stones.

Using these methods guarantees natural diamonds only, and a high confidence in our grading system. 

Each Piece of Diamond Jewellery will come with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing natural diamond construction, with a full report completed showing the tests and analysis carried out.
